Few weeks ago I've decided to go forward and to fully use my PC with a amd64 inside. As I definitively trashed MS windows, I've installed a ubuntu 10.4 AMD64 OS. And to listen my favorite "chronique du matin" lhumeurde, I need realplayer.
First at all I've download the package .deb from here, but when I've tried to install with the command:
sudo dpkg -i RealPlayer11GOLD.deb
it says: npackage architecture (i386) does not match system (amd64) :-(After a few seconds of google search, I've found we can force the installation with the option --force-architecture.
sudo dpkg --force-architecture -i RealPlayer11GOLD.deb
After a stop/start firefox when I click on the link my_chronical I've just to say to use with /opt/real/RealPlayer/realplay.bin, and voila I can heard my favorite chronical.
NB: before the realplayer installation I had already installed the needed 32bits library to run 32bits executables.
